that is, how and why did Foulcaut's pendulum experiment change the way society 
viewed the earths rotation. This question got rejected as a homework question 
the first time I submited it, but it is not. I am simply having trouble in 
finding out how his experiment changed society. I understand how it changed 
their view of the earths rotation, but I think there is more, i just am having 
trouble finding it. Note: experiment was conducted in 1851.
