Subject: Questions about being mute

Hi!
My name is Nicole and I am a grade 6 student. I
have just finished doing a novel study about a boy who was mute. I have gone on
the internet to find out more about it, but find most of it hard to understand,
I was wondering if you could answer some questions for me to help me understand
it better.

What causes a person to be mute? Can it be cured?
Last how does a person cope with everyday life?
