there seems mounting evidence that this technique -- of bombarding the brain with 
electromagnetism -- may be useful in the treatment of depression. But some researchers 
are now claiming it has the potential to do far more, including improving our memories, 
inducing peak experiences, helping us function on much less sleep, and generally 
taping the "savant" qualities supposedly latent in all of us. How solid is the science?
