I am thinking about testing various types and price levels of sunglasses as to their effectiveness in blocking UVA and UVB radiation, as compared to the claims they make, and considering their cost to see what the best deal is. Is there a relatively simple way of determining how much of the UV rays get through or are blocked without sophisticated and/or costly equipment? This would be for my middle school science fair project.
