We are interested in the concept of using biomass as a fuel. One concern is
the amount of greenhouse gasses emitted, particularly carbon dioxide. Is there
any difference in the amount of CO2 emitted by a given mass of wood depending
on whether it is burnt or whether it is metabolized by fungi, bacteria and
other decomposers?
