Why does Seahorse Key, (located in Cedar Key, FL) have such a high elevation of
52 feet? No other island on the Gulf Coast is higher than 20 + feet. I realize
there must have been some kind of fortuitous event that kept the sand dune from
eroding during the many sea levels, but there must be some other in depth
factors that is known?
