Why does Seahorse Key, (located in Cedar Key, FL) have such a high elevation of 52 feet? No other island on the Gulf Coast is higher than 20 + feet. I realize there must have been some kind of fortuitous event that kept the sand dune from eroding during the many sea levels, but there must be some other in depth factors that is known? Here's a website about Seahorse Key: http://www.zoo.ufl.edu/shkml/about/about.htm Thank you for your time and attention on this matter.
