MadSci Network: Botany |
I am working on a science fair project where fruit flies have shown a preference for peach over three other fermenting fruits. I am trying to determine what it is about peaches that they like. I know they eat yeast and ethanol off of fermenting fruit. I would like to see if I can measure how much ethanol each fruit produces after a few days. I could possibly have access to a lab with a centrifuge if that is needed.
