Hi Mubeen,

You don't say what kind of computer operating system you are using, or what you want to do with your batch file. I am guessing that you have some kind of Windows OS and are able to open a terminal (what we used to call a "DOS box") with a command prompt.

Creating a batch file for this system is very easy - you just use a plain text editor (Notepad is probably best - not Word or Write), type the batch commands that you want, one per line and save your file with the extension ".bat". Then you can either run the file by clicking it from windows, or from the command prompt in your terminal by typing its name.

Of course, you need to know what kinds of commands you can use in a batch file and here are a couple of guides to help you:

I'm sure you can find many more guides if you search Google with some terms like 'windows batch file "how to"'. Chances are in computing, if you need to do something, someone else has thought of it too!

Good luck,
Neil
