I have seen in movies how someone is shot, and the bullet is stopped by a strong, possibly metal object hanging from the person's neck chain, causing the object to deform, and the bullet becomes embedded in the object. Hence, the person is not affected at all. Is this possible or would the impact cause the object from the neck chain to break and/or injure the person? How strong must the metal object be to withstand a bullet and bring it to a stop without allowing it to penetrate the person? Thank you very much for your help!
