I would like to know of any survey comparisions done on lunar features using pre
1975 imaging and post 1983 imaging data.

I am specifically interested in 60-90N 90-120W.

A lunar impact event was observed by myself and my family in the late 70's.
Unaided eye, it appeared as a deep red glowing ball on top of the moon, telescope
showed a distinct plume that orginated just beyond the limb. Followed +45min till
moonset. I can find no record of professional or amateur observations of this
event and my family made no record of the event either. Only in retrospect do I
find significance to what was observed.
