Hello,

I read that spores are protected by the hardest organic substance currently
known. Further, that this makes them capable of inter-planetary travel. I
assumed this means some kind of suspended animation. In light of the findings
of micro-bacteria and water on astroids, I thought perhaps this could
theorhetically makes galactic travel in a species possible, the mushrooms for
example.

Is is true that spores are protected by the hardest organic substance known,
and if so does this make it possible that spores could survive interplanetary
space travel?

thank you.

Trevor.
