Noticed this on the beaches of lake huron where curved indentations in shape 
of the shoreline run every few yards between "points" and also appear to be 
echoed in a larger sense by shape of the shoreline with several miles between 
points on the grander scale. We thought it might be wave action related but 
can't explain the physics of it.
