I recently asked about your opinion of strange animals. What I meant was
this. I am curious about the diversity of life on this planet, especially
unusual things. I have heard of Vampire Finches, I think in Galopagos maybe
but anyway, they probably used to eat the bugs off of the Sea Gulls that live
around there, but now the Finches pierce the skin and eat the blood of the
gulls. I like this sort of thing because its unusual and sort of unique. And
the Platapus and Echidna, the male Platapus is poisonous and both are mammals
that lay eggs. And the Hydra I have heard is basicaly imortal because it is
such a simple organism. And that lizard with the third eye. So I was
wondering if anyone would tell me of animals that are as strange and unique as
these others. (If I am wrong about any of these animals please let me know, I
hope PBS hasn't lied to me about the Vampire Finches. Thanks for answering.
This site is awesome. Phil
