Hi Franco!

Its a good question considering the fact that at present the world is inflicted with so many diseases.

You see, when the human beings started evolving, it was not one of the dominant species on earth. Rather, human beings were struggling to survive amongst the beasts of that century. Diseases were very common during that period and the ancient human beings quite surprisingly knew their remedies as well. Of course you wouldn't expect the remedies to be antibiotics! The remedies included natural remedies obtained from plant derivatives.

However as you would expect, the plant remedies weren't very effective and the human race quite often suffered from serious diseases. But, slowly and slowly in due course of evolution and due to mutation in the genes humans acquired resistance to diseases. So, they started evolving and after thousands of years of evolution they became one of the dominant species on this planet. And the rest is known...

The key point here is that diseases were there but luckily that didn't play havoc during human evolution, if they did we wouldn't have been here today!
