In fact, the magnetic pole is continually wandering around the geographic pole. Maybe the fact that in some cases the geomagnetic field is represented as a dipole, in first approximation, causes this kind of doubt. The geomagnetic field is extremely complex, and is generated mainly in the Earth's core, with some contributions from outside the Earth, what makes the geomagnetic pole to move around in the neighborhood of the geographic pole.
