As I'm sure your teacher told you, female lubrication is a sexual response to a stimulus. These reactions are triggered by hormones in the limbic system, however the actual physical response has long been argued. The website www.sex-project.com says "...now most experts believe it is caused by a sweating reaction of the walls of the vagina; beads of moisture form and then coalesce, all this despite the fact that there are no sweat glands in the vagina." While it is one of the mysteries of the human body, the website mentioned above goes further in depth into the physical response of male and females.
