How did mitochondirial genes get into the nucleus, or did they do so at all? One
can imagine a scenario where nuclear encoded proteins started to participate in
mitochonridrial functions. Do nuclear encoded mitochondrial genes have introns?
If so is it possible to follow the formation of introns phylogeneticaly?
