well, kelly, your cells will shrink if the salinity of the interstitial fluid
decreases, because then water will flow out of the cells into the fluid. But, if
the salinity of the cells decreases, then water will flow into the cells and
they will swell up.

so it sounds to me like you and your teacher interpreted this question differently.
