Subject: fructose is reducing sugar because under alkaline condition fructose is converted into glucose

i have done experiment on reducing sugars and nonreducing sugars.i read that 
fructose is converted into glucose under alkaline condition is that true.and 
when we neutralise ph by adding acid to alkaline solution which have fructose 
oi converted back to fructose or remain glucose(fructose converted into 
glucose in alkaline soln)
