What causes that sudden short term hearing loss in one ear? I am not looking for
a medical diagnosis, just a general explanation, since it seems to happen to a
lot of people. When it happens, a ringing noise often follows. I don't think its
tinnitus, since it often only lasts a few seconds, then it goes away. One theory
I had likens it to a muscle twitch, though in the auditory nerve. Could that
possibly explain it?
