I am researching the synthesis of haemoglogin for an assignment, and I cannot
find a relatively straight forward explanation as to how heme is joined to
globin. This involves the mitochondria I believe, but is this conducted in the
primary or secondary stage of protein synthesis? How does the polypeptide
chain get into the mitochondria? If it does... Please help me, I would be very
grateful. From Kate.
