Hello, I am a junior who is currently conducting a science project on
caspases. I would like to know how I can determine the specific amino acid
sequence in which caspases show affinity for (or cleave after). Which
programs can I use to determine this? I did a secondary experiment to measure
YCA1 (a putative yeast caspase) activity in S. cerevisiae. The protein has
already been discovered as a regulator of apoptosis in yeast and the
Saccharomyces genome has already been sequenced. I have been told that
tBLASTn can determine the sequence of YCA1 but are there any other programs
available and how can one carry out this procedure?

Thankyou
