Athletes have to warm their muscles before they sprint up and down the track.
If they don't, they can hurt their muscles.
Animals can rest the whole day, then stand up and run at full speed, without
apparently ever hurting their muscles.
Do they hurt their muscles (and we just don't know it)? And why can't humans
just go at full speed without doing warming excercises? We used to be hunters
too.
