with the growing concern over mercury levels in tuna i had a question. if the mercury levels are being caused by the crumbling of rocks and soil, which contain the heav metal mercury, into the sea, then surely this is not a new phenomenon. if so there should be a noticable difference of the supposed consequences in countries with a fish based diet (scandanavia etc). Is there any solid proof that this is a reasonable concern or is it a minor concern that is clown out of proportion by a scared consumer base(cfc, microwaves come to mind)
