I read in wikipedia and other sources that electric eels release powerful shocks while mating that do not harm them or their mates , but when they fight for a female they shock each other to death with less powerful shocks. also , I read that an eel can produce around 600 watts of electricity for over an hour without getting tired. is this true and how is this possible?
