The secondary spermatocytes are 2n.  That is they still contain 2 copies of
each chromosome.  It is not until the Metaphase II stage of Meiosis that
the chromosomes are reduced to 1n.  Each sperm cell then contains only one
copy of each chromosome.  The following web page does a good job of
diagramming both  spematogenesis and oogenesis.
