Why does head hair grow to a length of many inches, arm hair to one inch (in my
case), eyebrow hair to 3/4 inch, nose hair to 1/4 inch and ear hair to 1/16
inch?  And what mechanism is failing when an older man begins growing
excessively long ear, nose and eyebrow hair?
