A volcano may erupt as a consequence of the enormous pressure inside it. In the case we have a huge magma chamber below the volcanic fabric, as is usual, we have a big pressure trying to let the magma flow to the surface. When the pressure is enough to crack the rocks, the magma can flow and we have an eruption. There are many kind of volcanoes and many processes of eruption.
