I believe that I have seen photos of tracks in plastics that have been involved
in space travel. More specifically, these tracks seemed to be like a melt
trajectory left by a high energy collision, of either micrometeoritic material,
or more likely, high energy particles, such as cosmic rays. Thank you in
advance for any help you can give.
