Hi,

The bacterium is about 1um (micrometer) wide, and 2 to 5 um long, depending on its developmental stage. Indeed this information is hard to find on internet.

If your work is about diphteria I propose you talk about the fact that the production of the toxin is triggered by the infection of the bacterium itself by a phage (a bacterial virus). This is something that usually nobody knows...
