Hello Walter,

The sound of a drum is much more sensitive to the type of drum and where on the skin you hit it 
than the type of drumstick used. That said, the sound produced is also sensitive to how hard and 
how quickly the drum is hit and a heavier drumstick will more easily produce a faster, harder tap. 
But, in the end, it's really how you use the drumstick --not what it's made of-- that counts.
