In short YES!

The big question though is how come mankind is extinct? What has caused it? 

If the catastrophe that removes humans from the Earth kills everything else, 
then that would mean.... no plants. 

If the event kills enough other animals and life, then the types of plants 
that survive will be effected. 

If humans are removed by some specific disease that effects only humans, then 
plants will carry on happily! Maybe the number and spread of different 
species will change, as farmed plants either take over or are taken over by 
the wild species.
