The existence of a duality would negate the scientific method, to the best of my understanding of it. There is an assumption of universality required for science that basically says everything operates the same way everywhere under the same conditions.

Consequently, science is not really up to the challenge of demonstrating the existence of a duality. Of course, there is no proof of a duality and every reason to expect that conciseness is a by product of complex matter.

At the leading edge of physics there are a number of anomalies that challenge our understanding of the universe, but I don't think they suggest a duality between thought and matter.

To the best of my knowledge there are no scientific findings that would deny monism. But remember, just because there is no proof for monism it does not follow that dualism is true.
