The college I would like to go to has an option to get a math BA/teaching MA in 5 years. My dream is to work in astronomy some day, so I was thinking of minoring in physics as well (if possible at the school). But is it possible to work as a math teacher while I work on my astronomy PHD this way I have the option of math teaching to fall back on in case I can't get an astronomy job? I'm just wondering what the process is like for getting the PHD and if that plan would give me a good enough undergrad education.
Re: Is major in math and minor in physics good enough prep for grad astronomy?
