The composition of the urine depends on your physical activity and what 
you have been eating and drinking. You would have to keep a good log of 
all these things to see what the source is. In general, the kidneys 
function to remove nitrogenous waste products of metabolism, keep the 
acid/base balance and minerals balanced.
