I am trying to find out the biochemistry behind eggshell thining due to
pesticides such as DDT. I know it has to do with "certain reproductive enzymes
affecting how much calcium is deposited", but what is the process both with and
without DDT?
Does the pH of the system have any affect in the amount of calcium deposited by
the bird?
Thank You
