Tonight, while watching a show about the Hubble telescope, I saw a computer animated film of a black hole. In it, the black hole was illustrated to show the speed of the rotating stars around it. They showed a jet coming out of the center of the black hole and explained it as being debris from the colliding stars as they are sucked into the black hole. I thought not even light could escape. How and why do these debris get away and why does the debris jet out instead of shooting off in random direrctions as you would expect from an explosion. Thank you for any info you can provide.
Re: How can pieces of stars that collide while entering a black hole 'jet' out
