Well, I assume when you say "enemies" you mean, what eats eels? To the best of my knowledge, fish are the main predators of eels. Eels have a very interesting life history, and when they are small they live in freshwater and move out towards the sea as they get older. This means that a large number of predators might eat them.

If you mean "enemies" in the sense that who is a danger to them, then the answer would be us. People catch eels for food and bait to catch other fish, but the another danger you might not think of is the huge numbers of dams on our rivers that makes the eel's movement to and from the sea very difficult.

Eels eat a wide variety of foods such as: fish, aquatic insects, snail, and worms that live in the sediments (remember that the eels spends a good portion of its life in freshwater).
