There is a movement currently to try and define Space and time as 
discontinuous, I have read some of the papers and it seems they make a strong 
case. However, does not the concept of discete space imply there must be 
something separating "particles of space". What could they possible be. And if 
the answer is nothing, How do we get from one place or moment to the next?
