Yes, dogs - like humans - can be right handed / pawed or left handed / pawed. With humans, about 90% are right handed, and 10% are left handed. With dogs, the percentages seem to be about 80% right pawed, about 20% left pawed, according to this Animal Instincts websiteIncidentally, the ratio is a bit more even for cats, according to this website ; about 40-50% of cats are left pawed, and the rest are either right pawed or ambidextrous.
