Message:
I am doing research with students this summer. We want to
extract water soluble pigments from rumex or phycobilins from
red algae. We are unable to find a protocol. We have access to thin layer
chromatography, UV spectrometer, spectrophotometer, and possibly
HPLC equipment for further analysis if we can extract and
separate the pigments. Can someone help us?
