Subject: How do they make linseed-oil more reactive ?

There seems to be a chemical called cyclopentadiene which, when 
it reacts with linseed-oil, makes the linseed-oil dry more quickly on 
contact with air (oxygen). Why ? How does the reaction take place and 
what are the risks ?

(Ps, I've asked this before but was referred to the medical faculty, 
which it's got nothing to do with. I've also sent this form about half
