Dear Sir or Madame:

No, I'm not asking a question relating to a school project of any kind.
I'm a grandmother who is having trouble understanding her son's explanation of
what he's studying in university. He's drawn all five for me but I don't
understand how or why someone would want to know/use this information. Please
help - what do the drawings mean?

Thank you very much,
Sincerely,
Mrs. Karen Knautz
