I read in Stephen Hawking's 'A Brief History Of Time' that some particles
have spin 1/2 because you have to rotate them twice to get them to be in the
same orientation. It struck me that when you follow the single side (or edge)
of a Moebius strip you rotate it twice to get to the same point. Is there a
connection?
