OK so I was watching a special about how the moon affects the earth's atmosphere and weather patterns and tides and stuff. My 1st question is do any other celestial bodies play a part in that as well? 2nd Theoretically speaking if a large comet the size of the moon were to pass by the earth close enough could it infact cause tsunamis and other weather phenomena. 3rd When a moon is being formed the particles in the rings surrounding the moon are outside of a particular area so that they are not pulled in by the planets gravity right. Does the sun have a similar area? That is all I will trouble you with for now.
Re: Does gravity from other planets affect earth in any way?
