Other than the anti-inflammatory effects and blood-thinning properties that
asprin has (and tylenol doesn't), what are the differences in how the two drugs
work to relieve pain? I understand that asprin inhibits an enzyme, which then
takes a number of compounds dirived from fatty acids and converts them to
molecules that do work. And that the inhibition of this enzyme is what reduces
swelling and causes blood thinning. Tylenol does not work this way? How do they
differ in the way they block prostoglandins?
