Question:
My question is about Materials Science. Materials are subjected to
fluctuating dtresses and atrain experience progressive , permanent and
localized damage which is known as fatigue.

I will like to ask why fatigue fracture always appears to nucleate on
the surface of a material.

Thanks for your help!!
