Dear Terry:

My apologies on the long delay- a reticent MAD Scientist I'm afraid.

There is quite a lot on the web pertaining to the color vision of deer. You can see the results of a search at google.com here. If you want to look up the data yourself, there is a scientific paper on the subject. It is:
SMITH, BILLY L., DAVID J. SKOTKO, WILBUR OWEN, and ROBERT J. McDANIEL. (1989) Color vision in the White-tailed deer. The Psychological Record. volume 39, pages 195-202.

Hope that helps!
Rob Campbell, MAD Scientist
