I did a survey of the medical people that I work with. None can recall a medical term for yawning. Sorry. However, you may want to check out this previous discussion about yawning at: here

Correction Added 4/16/2005
A medical term for yawning is pandiculation, which means "the act of stretching and yawning in a public place".

Thanks to Ralph Davenport for providing the information.
