Hi. As a senior in High School in Pre-Calc, I would like to know about 
Imaginary numbers, which the class is studing. It is my assumption that 
understanding why on earth someone would want to know about a number that 
is, apparently, non-existant.  I also believe that if I knew who invented 
Imaginary numbers, I could then look up information on said individual, 
and perhaps understand the mystery of the "i"  a name of said individual 
would really help!  thank you.
